Some offices use outside services to shred their documents. These offices need in house shredders more than anyone else!

mobile shred service .
Mobile shred services are only interested in customers they can visit regularly as part of a set route. Usually they will stop several times a month to pick up "shred bins" placed throughout the customers' offices. Their customers are paying from hundreds to several thousand dollars every month for this service! They can lease a large Dahle shredder at a fraction of this cost. Remember that they will be paying your shred service FOREVER! If they use their own shredder , they own it.
• Documents need to be shred as soon as possible. If they are left to sit inside bins for days or weeks, there is the real possibility of a security breach.
• Unauthorized people can peep inside the slot on top of the bins and read the confidential material.• Bins can be opened easily and material can be accessed.
• The mobile shred service employees can open the bins if requested.
• The mobile shred service employees have access to the customers most sensitive departments.
What does the truck operator do if sheets of paper accidentally blowout of the bins before shredding ? Unless you pay an employee to watch the shredding , how can you be assured the records are properly destroyed ? If you were paying someone to supervise the shredding operation, wouldn't it be cheaper if that person were actually shredding the material himself with a Dahle shredder? Many mobile shredding companies do not even shred the paper at the customers' site. They simply take the bins to a central facility and empty them on the floor. Sometimes days later, the paper is scooped up and put into shredders for shredding . In the meantime, workers are able to examine every piece of paper without any oversight from the customer!
